The Vaucluse Hotel places itself as everything that is Richmond. They are in the heart of it all on Swan Street, the perfect place to be for a cheeky weekend drink and are more than just a pub. I was commissioned to create a mural to celebrate this. Through working with the Venue Manager, we created a concept that too the icons of Richmond, such as the Nylex sign, skipping girl at the Vinegar factory and the beautiful Swan Street streetscape and pay homage to the iconically Melbourne Red Rattler and Trams. What resulted was a fusion of all of this, with room to add on as the time passed, all created on a mural under their bar in monochrome with pops of colour.
